A hardened Android phone for people who can’t afford to be the easy target. Built on GrapheneOS and configured the way we’d set up a phone we had to rely on ourselves: Google and its tracking stripped out, the bootloader and USB data paths locked down, and sensitive apps kept in a space you can hide. Bring your own Pixel and flash it yourself, or have us provision one and ship it ready to use.

  • One-time payment, no subscription
  • No account required, and no data shipped to third parties

Why you can trust SovereignOS

Description

Most phones are built to be convenient for advertisers, app stores, and anyone who can get malware onto them. SovereignOS is built to be inconvenient for all three.

It starts from one of the strongest security foundations in mobile. But a strong foundation isn’t a finished product. On its own, that base is a bare, technical starting point. SovereignOS is what it becomes after we harden the configuration, curate and pre-install the tools you actually need, wire up secure communications, and stand behind it with real support. That’s weeks of expert setup most people never get through on their own. You’re not paying for an OS you could flash for free. You’re paying for everything that turns it into a phone someone whose security actually matters can rely on, out of the box.

It’s built for the threats that go after high-value phones: mercenary spyware in the class of Pegasus, stalkerware, remote-access trojans, and the quiet data collection baked into a normal Android device.

What’s different about it

  • Locked down by default. Verified boot with a locked bootloader, USB data access disabled, and a hardened system configuration raise the bar against tampering, even for someone holding the device.
  • No Google, no accounts. Google services and their data collection are removed. Install what you need through our app installer, no Google account required.
  • A space you can hide. Keep sensitive apps in a separate Private Space that can be hidden completely, so what’s on the phone isn’t obvious to anyone who picks it up.
  • Secure comms, already set up. Our Comms Installer gives you one-tap access to the encrypted messaging and calling tools we trust, pre-configured.
  • Sentry. Built-in monitoring that flags unauthorized access attempts and tampering, so you know when something’s off.
  • Pixel security underneath. Every supported device uses Google’s Titan M2 secure element and hardware-backed verified boot, the foundation the rest of the hardening builds on.
  • Kept current. Regular security updates so the protection holds up over time.

Built on a NIAP-certified device

The Google Pixel hardware SovereignOS runs on is independently certified under NIAP’s Common Criteria program (the Protection Profile for Mobile Device Fundamentals), the same U.S. government standard used to vet phones for government and enterprise use. That evaluation covers the device’s core security: verified boot, hardware-backed key storage, biometric unlock, and encrypted connections.

To be precise, because precision is the point: that certification applies to the Pixel running Google’s certified Android build, not to SovereignOS itself. We will not claim a certification our OS was not evaluated for. What it means for you is that the hardware foundation we build on has passed independent, government-grade scrutiny, and SovereignOS hardens the software layer on top of that trusted base.

Two ways to get it

Self-Provision. Already have a supported Pixel? Flash SovereignOS yourself with our guided web installer. You keep control of the whole process, and it’s the most affordable way in.

White Glove. We source the device, provision and harden it, test it, and ship it ready to use, with the case, screen protector, and accessories to deploy right away. Nothing to set up; it works the moment you turn it on.

Supported devices

Google Pixel 8, 8a, and 8 Pro, plus every Pixel since: 9, 9a, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 10, 10a, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL.

Not sure which option fits, or need to provision more than one? Talk to us and you’ll reach a real person.

What’s included

Either way you get the hardened SovereignOS configuration with the secure apps you actually need curated and ready: private messaging, a hardened browser, a password manager, an authenticator, and more, with the tracking and bloat of a stock phone stripped out. White Glove adds the device itself, fully provisioned, plus the case, screen protector, and accessories to deploy the moment it arrives.

Updates and support

SovereignOS rides on a rapid security-update cadence, so patches land quickly rather than on a slow carrier schedule, and it runs on Pixel hardware chosen for its long support window. If something comes up, you reach a real person, not a ticket queue. We stand behind what we ship.

Before you buy

Will it work with my carrier? It works on the major US networks the same way any unlocked Pixel does. If you have a specific carrier question, ask us first and a real person will answer.

Can I still use my apps? Most Android apps work. You install them from a privacy-respecting app store, and we are happy to talk through anything you depend on before you buy.

Does this involve changing the IMEI, or anything legally gray? No. SovereignOS does not touch your IMEI and does not rely on gimmicks. The protection comes from real hardening, which is both more effective and fully legal.

Can you outfit a team? Yes. If you need to provision more than one device, or equip a whole team, get in touch and we will help.

Still deciding? Talk to a real person and we will help you choose the option that fits.

Common questions

Will my apps work without Google?
Most do. Apps come from open sources like F-Droid, plus Aurora Store, which pulls Play Store apps anonymously, so things like Signal and Proton Mail install normally. If an app genuinely requires a Google account, you can add sandboxed Google Play Services back on your own terms. It is tucked out of the way so you never enable it by accident.
Do I need to be technical?
No. With Self-Provision you bring a supported Pixel and follow a guided web installer, no command line. With White Glove we source, flash, test, and ship it ready to use.
Which phones does it work on?
Google Pixel 8, 8a, 8 Pro, 9, 9a, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 10, 10a, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL. For Self-Provision, bring any one of these.
Is this legal?
Yes. It is a privacy-hardened Android build running on hardware you own. It randomizes the Wi-Fi MAC address, which is standard and legal, and it does not do anything to your phone that breaks the law.
How private is it, honestly?
We will not oversell it. Powered off and encrypted, with the USB data path and debugging sealed, the phone defeats the commodity forensic tools used in most searches. It does not make you immune to a fresh zero-click exploit from a well-funded adversary. Nothing does. We would rather you know the real boundary than trust a slogan.
Can I still call and text normally?
Yes. Calls and texts work over the normal cellular network, and you can add encrypted messaging like Signal on top.
What is actually locked down?
The USB data port is charge-only with no way to re-enable data, developer options and ADB are off, the OS is verified at boot with our own keys, and the hardening costs under one percent of performance. The Pixel Titan M2 security chip stays in play.
What if I get stuck?
Email hello@spicycorp.com and a human answers. If flashing it yourself is not for you, White Glove means we handle the whole thing.
