Hotspot Helper works ONLY with the GL.iNet Mudi travel router: GL-E750 (Mudi), V1 and V2.

It does NOT support other GL.iNet devices, including the GL-E5800 and other 5G routers, or the newest Mudi model (it uses a different backend, and support is planned for 2027).

Not sure whether your device is a Mudi V1 or V2? Message us before you buy and we will confirm. We do not want you paying for hardware this will not run on.

Hotspot Helper is an app for your phone that takes command of a GL.iNet Mudi travel router. Instead of logging into the router admin console and typing commands, you run a guided checklist from the app and it hardens the hotspot for you. The advanced work happens automatically, so you do not need to be a network engineer to run a locked-down connection.

This is the friendly, public version. The full-capability build is something we set up privately with teams that need it. What is here is the everyday version, and it is plenty for keeping your own connection and identity managed.

What it does

• One-tap setup. Open the app, connect to your Mudi, and run a guided checklist that configures it for you.
• Traffic protection. An encrypted tunnel with VPN and DNS options, so your browsing is not riding in the open.
• Identity separation. Keep your movements and your device from being trivially tied together.
• At-a-glance status. A plain readout of what is on and what is off, no console required.

• VPN tunnel and DNS packages for encrypted traffic.
• WPA3 support.
• Randomize SSIDs so the network name is not a fingerprint.

• The app, $99. Just the app, delivered as a download. Install it on your phone and point it at a GL.iNet Mudi router you already own.

Works with

Hotspot Helper is built specifically for GL.iNet Mudi routers. It is not a general-purpose app for any hotspot. If you are running a Mudi, this is made for it. If you are not sure your hardware fits, reach out at hello@spicycorp.com before you buy.

Before you buy

The App-only option is a digital download, so nothing ships to you. The app-plus-router option ships you the Mudi, and the app installs on your phone.
